The School of Humanities & Social Sciences is integrally connected with all the schools of this university to ensure the basic societal understanding for the young generation of students about the social system, cross cultural & International understanding, Indian cultural values, developmental needs, approaches and Buddhist ethics. The school presently comprises of three departments namely Department of Social Sciences, Department of Buddhist Studies, Department of Education and learning system and a center for Public Policy and Governance. The school is equipped with most latest facilities for the students and supported by departmental and state of art central library with large collections of books, journals, audio-visual aids and other learning materials. The School has two years masters course in Development Studies. The school is also having M.Phil., Ph.D. programme in Development studies and other disciplines of Social Sciences to promote quality research that is relevant to the fast changing needs of the society. The curriculum of all its academic activities has inter-disciplinary and cross cultural focus with adequate contextualization.
