Today, when the geographical frontiers are shrinking and the world is engaged in
drawing new boundaries of Knowledge Order, we, at Gautam Buddha University, have
initiated a new model of Enlightened Education to cater to the needs of the transnational
and pluricultural world. The new world order, controlled by the pervading market
forces, prompts us to keep guard with a greater responsibility towards establishing
supremacy of knowledge over the market forces. In this context, the institution
should promote freedom of thought, and foster a greater responsibility to harness
all our knowledge and skills for the multidimensional growth of the society. The
University has taken up this challenge to serve as a center for excellence in education
and training so that the lower-end skilled workers, as we are, may turn in to high-end
contributors in an overall growth of the society.

With a three dimensional approach in our endeavor, we are meaningfully engaged in
redefining knowledge, helping our students acquire that and training them to put
that into practice. We foster our mission for excellence in education and training
coupled with a value-based intellectual growth. Our Mission is carried out by our
accomplished faculty, recruited and groomed in accordance with the practices in
reputed national and international institutions.
We have established four schools of learning: School of Management, School of Information
Technology, School of Biotechnology and School of Humanities & Social Sciences.
In future, we will establish four new schools of learning: School of Law & Social
Justice, School of Vocational Studies, School of Engineering & Design, and School
of Buddhist Studies & Civilization.
I take this opportunity to invite all individuals and organizations to be a part
of this new initiative and join hands to give shape to our collective future.
